The imagery is based on a random pile of 35mm feature film material. From selected strips, I laboriously picked up over-exposed details with the help of a photocopier. The details the copying ritual renders varyingly discernible and recognizable are indoor sources of light: lamps, candles and windows. At times their shapes are modified by human silhouettes moving in front of them. I recorded the soundtrack imagining these people continue their activities invisibly in the dark. In abrupt snippets the people are heard wander around and mumble mundanely in the dimly lit interior built from the ruins of others films.
